The business group of distinguished billionaire Alexander Mashkevich plans to implement comprehensive and ambitious projects in Georgia.
The main focus will be made on medical services and pharmaceutical sector. The long-term investment aims at promoting the competitive environment, expanding an access to high-quality medical services and reducing medication prices.
Humanity Georgia has already launched operation in the pharmaceutical sector. The company-imported medications are sold at affordable prices at all major pharmacy networks. Moreover, AlphaMedic Consortium plans to carry out efficient projects adjusted to the consumer interests as part of the hospital sector development tender.
Malkhaz Tsereteli, the member of the parliament’s health committee says that making investments in the health sector is a positive event and this fact will boost competition and lower prices on medications.
I am aware of the hospitals rehabilitation and reconstruction project. This is a very good initiative. I also know about the initiative of Mashkevich, but we have no information on how he will implement this initiative. We know no specific business plan. If the investments will finance this sector and develop the medical field, we welcome these efforts.
Competition largely determines the medication pricing. The tendency will be directed to lowering prices and naturally we welcome this process”, Malkhaz Tsereteli said.
